LUX V4 vs DTEC V9.5 vs MTEC V3 LED Angel EYES
Hi everyone!
I’m in search of the best LED angel eyes for my 2011 BMW X6 35i. Which one is really the best in terms of brightness and reliability?? I’ve searched several forums for countless hours and I can’t come up with a final decision on which LED angel eyes to order. I narrowed it down to 3 choices: • MTEC V3 7000K • DTEC H8 V9.5 • LUX V4 Color adjustable Angel eyes – I kinda like the fact that I can change the colors of my angel eyes Which kit is most visible on direct sunlight? Which kit doesn't have the “flickering problem” Please help me decide so that I can finally place my order. Thanks guys! |

I installed Lux V3 Angel Eyes in my 2012 X6 5.0 and they worked flawlessly (great brightness/color, error free, no flicker), so much so that I removed them when i handed in my 2012 and put them in my 2014 X6 35 m sport yesterday.
I don't know the other brands, but I think you'll find general agreement on here that the Angel Eyes are a great product. The V4 can only be better. |

I had LUX V3 in my 2012. They flickered when I started the car, which I only noticed if I started it in front of a store window. Otherwise they did not flicker.

I just checked out DTEC's site. There's a DTEC V8 H8 with 90W 3600 Lumen Output. Too bright?
I also like the LUX H8 V4 gives you the options from white to blue.

MTEC works perfect. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of these. Throw a dart.

Just a thought/question.
Couldn't you (or I) swap out the M8 bulbs for some with a whiter color to them? That should only cost $25-30 and be the same brightness as the OEM bulbs, without worrying about codes or LEDs |

I went with the LUX V4 on my X6. They look much better than the stock amber looking bulbs, but they still aren't super bright and don't stand out in daylight conditions like the adaptive headlights that come from the factory.
I am pretty sure they are all the same. After the first install of the V4, I haven't messed with changing the way the lights like (white to blue) so that isnt a very important or crucial feature for me to have. I did notice that my V4's do flicker on startup. I too noticed this by seeing it in a store window reflection. |

The cheapest route is to use blueish tint H8 bulbs (still halogen), but IMHO, well it cheap solution so don;t expect much as far as light-output. It also more blueish tint instead of white. you can buy $15 for the pair.
I have the ole H8 20W LED bulb and H8 DTEC 64W. I like DTEC cause I don't need to change the color, white is what I want with max light output. Not sure if the latest DTEC will make E71 X6 (w/o LED headlamp option) any brighter, the optic is the limiting factor not the LED bulbs. By optic I mean the circular plastic rings that make up the angel eyes. |

So, wouldn't these work? They are the same size, and wattage as the OEM's, but are whiter.
