That's quite the wildlife area you have access to, Ed. They don't seem to mind you being so close. Coyotes here are very skittish (probably from being shot at) and bolt the minute a car stops.

You're developing quite a portfolio of actions shots.

Well these critters are all in a national park more or less (Point Reyes is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area), so they don't seem to be too bothered. It is a large area where I have seen deer, elk, foxes, bobcats, and tons of raptors, all without leaving my car. This is the best time of year for wildlife up there, so I have been going almost every weekend, although I will soon be heading north to the NWR's in the Sacramento valley, where the big bird migrations are taking place.

The new lighter 500 has also been a real blessing as it is way easier to maneuver inside a car than the older heavier model.

I've been busy today !!
Picking up my new 335i Luxury GT.
The weather was awful, around 3 degrees C with snow showers. So I took a couple of quick shots in the handover bay, but too many bright lights and reflections.

I'm surprised you got that nice starburst effect from the 24-105 at just f8. Or are those added in post? Nice effect in either case.

Thanks Mark, well spotted re the starburst.
There were so many bright lights, reflections and highlights, that I just couldn't get rid of them all.
So . . I just 'emphasised' a couple
