Crankcase pipe collapsed brand new 5 miles on it

Quick question maybe, i have replaced this once before at about 120,000 miles, noticed a similar whistling noise a few days back at 192,000 and it was idling rough. Cracked again. New one came today installed it, took it for a spin across town I thought maybe it needed to reset the idle being that the part was leaking a lot. Got worse and when I got home I figured maybe I broke one the ends installing it or it had come unclipped. I thought the hose had a big hole in it but it is actually vacuumed flat so nothing can flow through it?

Did it pop back out once shut off? Sounds like there is another issue in the system, probably the check valve/s in the fresh air ducts.
I have had to replace mine 3 times in 60K miles, and the last one I wrapped in gold heat tape, will see if that helps longevity at all.
