Question Powder Coat Rims Black

Hi guys,

Looking for opinions on powder coating OEM rims black.

Any ongoing maintenance concerns?

I did a quick photoshop mockup....what do you guys think?

Maintenance is no different than factory wheel finishes. That's the benefit of powder coating, its very durable.

Oh that's great news.

Do you think it would negatively effect resale value?

Black powder coat looks great, but the maintenance on flat black is tedious and time consuming. A shot of clearcoat over top will help a lot.

I could see that.

I had a flat black bike for awhile and I was a pain to clean.

I wonder how much a clear coat would effect the look.

Anyone have pics?

Its not difficult to imagine clearcoated black. Its shiny
. I have clear coated silver wheels on a different car, net effect a sheen on the wheels when clean.
