2010 35i DME update and Turbo lag

Hi sall
I took my X6 35i for an oil change and to be looked at for the reduced power screen, which is related to the hpfp issue in the N54 engine.
The dealer told me that the car needs a DME update which might be the cause for the reduced power issue.
The update was done, which deleted my entertainment and contacts stored on the hard drive, but more importantly produced a noticable turbo lag worse than before!!
Would like to know if any out there had similar experience with the update and/or the result of the update. Thanks.

I think it's part of BMW repair instruction. When HPFP is giving up they will reduce the pressure through DME to make it last longer. Next step if you push the car hard enough HPFP will fail soon and they will replace it and update the DME again and you will be back full power.
