Disable remote control from opening windows and tailgate?

So far we only have this truck for about two month, and already we once discovered it with opened tailgate and twice with opened windows... Once the windows were opened during snow, and we got a bunch of snow on the inside.

Apparently either my wife or I accidentally pressed the button on remote control that opens the tail gate and windows. Is there a way to disable this feature?

If you press the unlock botton long enough it will also lower your windows same thing with your button for rear hatch. It can be disabled through coding. I see you're from NY and I know there is somebody in your area from this forum or in another BMW forum who can code it for you.

If you're handy with a laptop and some basic computer knowledge you could do the coding yourself.

All you need is a $80 cable, a laptop, and free software. You can find instructions at BMW coding dot com. Just a few hours of your time to familiarize yourself with the software, it's pretty straightforward. There are plenty of options and features you can enable or disable for your car.

However, if you don't have time or are not too confident then as the above poster mentioned you could get someone else to do it for you.

och, there is a guy in the area that can disable that for you if you're still having issues.
