'13 M Sport w/out Air Suspension - Air Release?

Hello all,
Maybe was asked previously, but I can't locate any details in manual or online so I'll ask fellow "experts."

Have '13 M Sport package without 3rd row, so I assume no rear air suspension. When I open a door in the morning there is a air release from something in the rear of the vehicle. I can't trace it as many times as I've tried. The only guess I had was the exhaust system that has the valve that opens the passenger side at open throttle. Could it be the exhaust? Any other ideas?
