Done in one day? Thats kind of sketchy.... way too much work to be done in one day. Maybe they didn't do the full repair, but said that they did?

Some components BMW wants to be replaced, other parts they need approval from BMW. BMW wants the dealers to run a test plan and then BMW tells the dealer what needs to be replaced. The dealer doesn't make the call on what gets replaced. Unless BMW is caught up in regards to providing the dealer of what needs to be replaced after the test plan, I cannot see it taking a day. I can see the dealer running the test plan and then giving the vehicle back to the customer as they await for the parts to be approved by BMW. The vehicle also takes a software update as well.

I didn't say it was done in one day...I left it at the dealer on Wednesday morning and picked it up on Thursday evening.

Regarding the software update, they did all except the telecommunications module...I have the Combox retrofit so I asked them not to update the telecomunication software because I would have to get it coded again.

For some reason my phone can't resize pics small enough to load so I can't get the complete work order posted...I do see a note stating no replacement necessary for the timing chain.

The work order also states that an oil change was done...I guess the only thing they didn't do was the timing chain.

There's also something on the work order about a surprise gift cause:CCP GIFT...

Car Shampoo, interior cleaner, wheel cleaner gel, glass cleaner and fuel additive...I just noticed all this so I need to call them or stop by for another visit because I did not receive the surprise gift when I picked up the vehicle.

Does the N63 engine need to come out of the vehicle for this Customer Care Campaign service?
Do the front axles need to be removed for this service?

only if the timing chains need replacement. Otherwise, the engine does not have to come off for the CCP.

Does anyone know is anything related to the coolant is touched? I got the car back last night and coolant everywhere. Dealer calls me like radiator is busted since coolant overflowed out. So you need to come out of pocket $900 to fix. I swear this dealer is behind stupid.

is the radiator busted or is the expansion tank busted? Both are pressurized unlike in many vehicles where the radiator has a cap which controls pressure and any expansion is sent to the reservoir where it is not pressurized. The expansion tank that BMW uses is plastic and they do crack due to age or stresses. That is not to say that the dealer didn't bust it, but it could be fairly easy to do since it is right in the engine bay; it is the tank on the right. There is also another cooling system for the turbos that is under the engine cover.

... And apparently if the timing chain cover is removed due to leaking, as it seems mine was.

Well they left my m6 in shambles and said it was fixed so that was another reason. Def. Will be looking for another dealer regardless 😔 oh well.

X5 is so much smoother and overall feels great!

Maybe I missed it here somewhere, but I really haven't seen anything on what apparently is another N63 campaign regarding the HPFP's?

http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=17920147

I caught wind of this from another forum member, emailed my SA, and was told yes they were now replacing the HPFP's. It's going in this coming Wednesday to have those replaced.

Anybody else know much about this? It sounds like some N63 owners showed up at the dealer for another unrelated service and we're told about this new campaign? From the pic posted at the above link, the campaign # is 0013300200 but I can't find much on it. Either way mine are being replaced at no charge, and without an inspection first like the initial campaign.

PAX5 had his replaced; from what was described, one was really acting up. and caused the engine to run very poorly. So obviously this was in the works before his decided to give up. I wonder how much of this had to do with injector issues; a leaky injector means more work for the HPFP's.

This is an odd one ... don't know what to make of it ...

Is it a (new) campaign? Is it a follow up campaign? Is it a recall (but not registered with NHTSA yet)?

Call your dealer and ask ... Mine won't tell ...

Right…well it has a different campaign # than the original, but there's little to no info available online that I have found. I'll find out more on Wednesday when I bring mine in.
