Your insight on tune for X6 35i

I recently switched from a 2008 335i to 2009 X6 35i. I miss the power of the 335i but not having much luck with searching the internet for turning options for the X6 35i. I prefer the cobb tune over jb4 but not sure if it is supported for the X6. Any suggestions based on your experience/knowledge will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey dude I just had JB4 Stage 3 installed in my X6 N54 and the performance increase on map 2 is amazing! The car literally launches and the engine noise is very aggressive. Love it. The car is completely stock at the moment but I'm looking at upgrading the downpipe and to get cold air intake but I'm still trying to find what fits the car. I am a little worried about engine/turbos and other parts degrading quicker as the power increase is substantial (306hp to 400ish on map 2 with 98 octane). I just put 80000 kilometers and all is well (400km with JB4).

Thank you for sharing your experience! There seems to be nothing out there that really validates the JB4 for X6 N54 and your words finally offer great first hand insight. I might bite the bullet too! Enjoy the beast and safe driving.....

You are welcome... I took the risk and its well worth it and I hope it continues to be! Also, its very hard to find any info on upgrading the downpipe and the cold air intake on the X6 N54 - the BMS parts for the 135 and 335i do not fit so I don't know where else to look =( I wish to install an oil catchcan as well but the BMS one will not fit either apparently.

The JB4 tune for N54 is very popular in the 3 series forums - there is also one for N55. It is a well proven and tested tune. I ran it for 4 years on my N54 335i. It's good for about 100 crank hp and 80whp - this is not hyperbole, there are scores of dyno charts that show between 340 and 350 wheel HP.

$529 is a no brainer.
