iphone media snap in adapter play video from classic ipod ?

I'm looking for a BMW Apple iPhone 4/4S Snap In Adapter for my 2012 x5. I know that it will allow me to watch videos from my Iphone4s, but will it allow video playback from regular classic ipod video?
I store more videos in the ipod than I do in the iphone.

Yes you will be able to play video on your iPod/iPhone.

The iPhone however does not support the email and msg function however. It was a bit annoying but maybe the iPhone 5 will support what the bb's do.

I didn't think the classic iPod would fit into the snap in adapter. It's exactly contoured for the iPhone 4 frame.
