FYI, I had 2 people flake out from the last group buy, and as a result, I have 2 sets of package A available to ship immediately.

I will make these 2 kits available to the first 2 people that PM me.

The remaining kits will be ordered at the end of the month, and will be ready to ship in early February.

How bright are the rear license plate lights? Will they be noticeably brighter then stock? Crisp white light correct?

If they are brighter and a crisp white color can you add package E to my order. I already requested package A.

2nd. LED license plate lights are my favorite cheap exterior upgrade on just about any car (that doesn't have them.)

Coding update!

I had my coding done a few days ago, and am happy to report that most everything went as expected. I was able to eliminate the short flicker from the brake, reverse and license plate bulbs on startup...which was my main goal. (I also got a few other neat features added, but that is a story for another post.)

The fog lights ended up being a little trickier, and after an hour or so of fiddling he could not eliminate the bulb check warnings without also disabling the low/high beam checks...which I did not want. Apparently the 2011 and newer X5s have the 'FRM3' light module, which is a little trickier to work on.

With that said, if anyone wants to change their mind about ordering the fog light bulbs I would totally understand. Just please let me know before I place the order next Thursday.

Also, since I've decided not to use the H11 LED fog light bulbs, I have a pair here ready to go if anyone wants them. They've been powered on for a total of about 5min, so are virtually new. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for that update! Can I ask, who did your coding? How much work is involved on your end? I'm thinking about remote coding mine for the lights and a few other things but not sure how much it will require on my end...

I ended up getting remote coded by this guy https://www.facebook.com/Tripl3OCoding

In a nutshell, you download some files, setup a GotoMeeting session, and he works through your computer to code the car. You can see exactly what he's doing, and the whole process (aside from the fog lights) took about 30 min.

What I liked about him was, he does this full time and has done over 1600 cars to date...many of them via a remote session.

Price was reasonable and included free recodes if you want to change features, or go back to stock.
