What is the normal drive-in period for a new X6?
Hi! I was just wondering what the normal drive-in period is for a new diesel X6? Assuming of course this is different to the petrol?
What does the dealer advise and what are the experiences? |

the dealer said 2000km, don't go over 3500rpm. After that you should drive a little more carefully until let's say 5000km

I appreciate that my man! But i dont have the car yet. I was just being a bit anxious
But ok there is a bit more to it. I am taking delivery of the car in the UK. It will be the new XDrive 40d but it will be Left hand Drive. And then i will be driving immediately after pickup to the netherlands. hence the question about whether it is good to drive long distance immediately you pick up the car? |

Driving off immidiately? That's mean I don't have to warm it up in the morning? I usualy let the engine warm at least 30seconds and I thought is not enough

The manual may be more concentrated on CO2 emission. PS According to this manual it does not apply to a brand new cars. |
