Miles of your first service indicator?

My indicator is telling me now 12000 will be my first service, from my understand the miles will change/decrease based on your driving style and condition.

Current the odometer is showing 3500 miles. What's the typical first service miles indicator showing?

Am I driving it too hard?

theese trucks were meant/built to drive hard. i had my oil changed @ 5k miles just because my sa suggested doing it for longevity, but im sure thats not even necessary. im averaging 12.2 miles per gallon,i dont know how theese others are claiming 18+mpg?

I've am approaching my 3rd oil change and have 17k on my 2011 35d. The dealer will change it for you if you have 2000 or less miles till the computer recommended change. Also, I have a JBD installed and am getting an mpg average of 22 mpg. This is traveling in mountains and flat roads.

Mine says service at 15k miles and I'm just over 12k right now. I get a tick over 20 mpg in my mostly non-highway driving. Love it.

I ended up going in at 17000 miles with the service indicator saying 3000 miles to go. After 13 months I thought it was a good idea to check in with the service department.
