It was re-trimmed actually yet it is technically brand new due to never being installed/used. I bought this from a member off this forum actually. Their out of the UK, I went through a bit of a pain importing this part due to US Customs. So if you do go to this route here is what I HIGHLY suggest you do so you don't get messed over.

1. US Customs requires a HS Form 799, mark 2A and have the carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL) fill in the top portion regarding your vehicle. It is required within 2 business days BACK to (UPS, FedEx, DHL) to be sent to US Customs or you will acquire fees.

(HS Form 799) should be provided from the carrier so no need to look for it and make sure the invoice of your part is sent by the seller for US Customs.

**NOTE** This is all done within your e-mail, so scan the HS Form 799 and attach it in an e-mail

2. Money order or check is needed upon delivery to your residence which is roughly $48.00 due to import fees, taxes and etc per US Customs.

It should work, I haven't installed it but today I will be installing it. I'll take pictures of course and do a write up. I think the challenge I'll be facing is taking the airbag out of the airbag cover to swap it over to the sport airbag cover. Why? Because I'm not seeing myself spending $400 on an airbag cover/bag already done when I know it'll work. More time on my part, yes. But there's nothing special, the bag is just packed inside and I just have to make sure I keep it folded as such when transferring it. Just the unclipping portion will be a PITA

Great looking wheel E70' 11!! I had an alcantara on my e46 m3 a few years ago. My only complaint was that the wheel wears out pretty quickly if you don't clean it often. It sure does look and feel amazing though

Thanks man and yeah I kind of figured that would happen so I'll see what I'll need to clean this wheel

It shows the light is on but goes out which I'm not understanding why. I'll take everything off again after work. Double check the connectors and it should be good to go

Nice thank you i will be using this to remove my x5 wheel for my new one i just bought. If its the same as the e46 m3 wheel removal it should be easy, the airbag is the tricky part.

this is the wheel i ordered. finally pulled the trigger on it cant wait until it arrives

^I love that wheel! Perforated steering wheels are some of my favorites. If you want to spend more $ you could even replace the buttons so they reflect the LCI buttons. But really not necessary, they'll all work the same.

I upgraded my M Sport wheel to an X5M so I could get paddles and ///M tri-stitching. Later decided the paddles were not much fun on this vehicle, but it all looks cool.

Appreciate it and hope it helps for sure. I also noticed it doesn't heat up the wheel because there's a white connector missing. It looked like someone just swapped out the heated button control unit from a non heated button control unit. I am disappointed to now have lost that feature but the DIY I provided still shows how to successfully swap it over if your vehicle already has the heated option with the heated steering wheel

This is the reason why I asked if the heat still works when I saw the heated button paired with the flat bottom. About 3 years ago when I did a steering wheel swapped on my e46m and based on my research, whenever they alter the shape of the steering wheel, i.e. changing to the flat bottom, then the heat will not work anymore.

Yeah I noticed there wasn't a white connector and a slot for the heating module. If there was one, it would've worked just fine due to the fact my car already came equipped with the heating option

I see you put a pre-LCi wheel on your 2011 (LCI model). Did your old wheel have the recirc and stereo source buttons?
What do the diamond and star buttons do now...are you able to program them like you could on pre-lCI?

Regards,
Mark

Hey everyone, someone is selling MSport G05 wheel, heated with paddles, will it retain my current E70 MSport functions atleast, plug and play? Im not interested in Paddles and Heat functions as I don’t have them currently anyway, my steering is just too old and cracked, just need a nicer replacement.
