X5M e70 : Expansion tank

By removing the motor cover to clean it, I came across an expansion tank ...

According to ETK, it would seem that it is a "Expansion tank, intercooler"

The documentation does not mention this tank, and I do not know if I have to do the level, and if so with what liquid (probably cooling?)

It's for the charge coolong system, and also the turbos, uses same antifreeze as the rest of the cooling system.
