I think the M Colored calipers are the only thing thats appealing about the brakes.

Hi, the E70 & F15 M50d have the same rotors & calipers front and rear. I just get them painted and order the following ceramic pads from Carbotech in the US, fronts are CT1443 compound 1521 and the rears are CT919 compound 1521.

Give them a call or email Carbotech, you will have them in 10days, and no brake dust?

What would I need to do if I wanted to put these X5M brakes set on a 2010 F07 GT 550ix that has the same brakes as the f01/02 chassis?
Cheers

All that brake dust you see on your wheels is your X5's brakes working and rotors wearing. That's the price for top braking performance. You won't see that on Japanese cars because they use a totally different (non metallic) formula but generally have a lower brake effectiveness.

I ahve a question on rear brake pads? On my system check it is indicating that the rear pads are wearing much faster than the fronts. Most cars wear out fronts first. I can only conlcude that the rear pad is smaller - maybe because BMW share the rear electronic brake system on a number of their cars?
The rear brakes may be wearing faster due to BMW using the rear brakes for traction control. The rears on my M3 are wearing faster than my fronts and the traction nanny

How about stopping so hard that you aren't touching the seat, and your fillings want to fly out of your mouth?

It is more brain warping than any acceleration and therefore scares the uninitiated more.
