Would you keep 2012 X5 35i past warranty?
Thinking of keeping my 35i past the warranty. It was bought new by me and now has 48,000 miles and am thinking of keeping it. Those who have had cars way past this mileage, any hints on things to be worried about? engine? Tranny?
Thanks in advance. |

If you are worried about repairs, why not just purchase an extended warranty?

Heck no. Unless you are a mechanic yourself and can do your own major repairs.
Warranty from someone is a drop in the bucket compared to at least one major repair.

As many miles my wife puts on her 35d, and considering maintenance is included, and we bought a low mileage CPO, it's really not worth it for us to keep ANY vehicle past it's warranty period. Plus, with the money your spending, might as well upgrade every 3-4 years to something with a warranty and maintenance included anyways!
