K-CAN1 - wakeup front seats
Hi everyone!
I have crazy project. I try use front seats (full comfort version) from X5 in my 300C, but when I plug in the +12V supply , nothing happens. I have read many materials and came to the conclusion that I must communicate with them via K-CAN1. On board (module have number 9221863) I see TJA1055 low-speed CAN transceiver, so I think the speed is 100 kbps (K-CAN1). I don't have full car like X5/X6, only seats so I can't sniffing K-CAN frames, I must search "frames" on Google and try send to seat module. I think I must send "wakeup frame" in any 500 ms but data I found on the internet don't do anything. The module doesn't respond to any frames, it doesn't even send an ACK signal, nothing... I try other bus-speed like 500 kbps. I have two modules and both behave the same. After 10 seconds from connecting the power supply, the module goes into sleep mode, begins to draw less power (almost 0.01A). I try send to this module few frames from many websites: 0x130 - 45 40 21 8F FE 0x202 - FD, FF 0x202 - FD, 00 0x273 - 1D E1 FF F0 FF 7F DE 04 0x202 - FD 0x563 - 63 I try use codes from http://www.loopybunny.co.uk/CarPC/k_can.html read diagrams/plugs from https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ver/1VnbfaSSA2 and still nothing. Does anyone know how to wake up these seats? |

Hi Lutechi,
Did you ever get the seats to work? I have the same problem! There is a company in your part of the world called “seatscontrol” that makes a device specificity for this, but they don’t respond. There is also a good thread on bimmerfest about k can spoofers Cheers! |

I should work, the Seats are the same as the where in my E90 2012.
I replaced the manual Seats with the electric one with memory. Because of the Leather color, I replaced the leather and had to power the Seat to get acces. I only used a 12 volt power source. I will check If I have the pictures saved or they are at one of the E90 forums. |
