Help! Color choice went to heck in a handbasket

I went to my dealer today to place an order for a 2012 X6 3.5. My CA had left for the day, so that was a bummer. Will have to return tomorrow...

I had spent the past week thinking about colors and I had come down to deep sea blue or alpine white. I think that it looks so sharp in white, but there are A LOT of white cars here in Texas. I think that the DSB will be more of a standout. Plus, I drove a Topaz E53 for 7y; a giant blue car in your rear view mirror gets respect. A Platinum Grey E70 (what I have now) not so much -- perhaps I blend into the pavement.

Now to the point: my dealer hasn't had an x6 on the lot for a while, and when there is one there, it's usually black. When I went into the showroom today there was a Monaco Blue X6 5.0 right in the center and it was beautiful. There just happened to be a customer's MB X5 parked outside, so I could see the sunlight version too.

Now I don't know what to do! Every time I've seem MB it's been right next to a black car so it was apparent that it was really dark blue.

MB owners, how do you feel about the color? Is it looking black most of the time?

DSB owners, is it holding your interest? (my topaz e53 always did).

If I keep this up I'll end up with no X6 at all.

Go with A White!!!!!! This color stands out any time of the day. Night, day, and raining days. You can also see the design of the car better on white than any other color. I went with white

I have Deep Sea Blue now and really like it. Monaco Blue was too blue for me; DSB is always blue in any light. Plus, I think there are even fewer DSB cars on the road than MB.

I like DSB. I went with carbon black metallic because it does look blue in bright sunlight; black when its not as bright.

My MB does look black in low light but blue in direct light.

I'm going with MB with Saddle interior. My last several cars were black, white, or silver. I'm in a Black Sapphire metallic 335 right now (with Terra interior) and love it but I feel I need a change. I think the Blue is sharp, classy, but a bit different from the same old black/gray/white.

I love love love carbon black, but alas I don't have the dough required to get the X6M it comes on.

I went with the White with the Performance Aero. It really stands out and it is the easiest color to up keep.

I prefer black sapphire metallic.
