Ride Quality After Lower

Hi Guys,

I'm going back and forth on lowering the car and I wanted to know from you that have done it if ride quality suffers at all. At first I was concerned that I'd lose the "SUV" feel (ride height), but then I realized that I'm lowering the car 1.2"F and 1"R but I'm also gaining a little over two inches by going 22's. So I think it'll be the same ride height as stock, just look way better.

Anyhow, tell me about ride quality. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be honest. Every forum I've ever been to is the same, whatever you have is the best ish on the block. Here in this thread, I beg for your 100% unfiltered honest opinion on the subject of ride quality on the X5M lowered.

Thanks in advance for the discussion.

I think the 22's will actually have close to the same rolling diameter as the factory wheels. They shouldn't change the height.

What's the meatiest tire you can roll on with 22's and lowered?

Lowered on H&R 2" drop 22/10.5 295/30/22 fronts 22/12 335/25/22 rears. Ride is not bad. Not as nice as stock.

Larger wheel, thinner tires. It would be very close in diameter to maintain speedometer accuracy... Ergo, same height

Hi there I have H&R 1.2 lowering kit on my 2009 x5. I like the look , the ride is ok close to stock, a bit rough , but that's expected , I like the way it handles on the corners given that I have 20" wheels , the only thing that I found is a front squeak when going over small bumps at low speed I believe is a bushing due to the lowering , besides its ok

It doesn't look like I'll be lowering the car.

I googled "x5m lowered" and OMFG the thing is sexy. I just don't know if I'm ready to sacrifice even a bit of ride quality to look Geeed up from the feet up.

Man, so no DP's, no lowering, I guess I'm all growns up. On the bright side I can get that N-PAP I've been looking at.
