What are your lease numbers

Hey guys, I am coming from the e90 forum and my lease is coming up soon. I have always loved the x5, and am interested in leasing. I was just curious what your leases were to get an idea of an average, or the norm of what these leases run.

Just some basic info if you:
Lease amount:
Down payment:
Options:
and any other information that your think may be necessary

Thanks a lot!

I can get you more specifics tomorrow, but I'm paying $869 for my loaded X5 35i M Sport. I have the M Performance tune, M Sport package, Nav, heated seats, etc. I put down $1000 (..covered the remaining balance on my E92 M3; I owed 49k, they gave me 48k), so there wasn't much of a cap cost reduction in my deal, but I did get 6k off the price (..I had some connections at the dealership).

Sorry but way to much for a non-M X5. I paid for my X5 cash but if I would have done a lease since the X5 is cheaper than a new M3 it would have been in the $300-$400 a month range.

$869 is most peoples rent and/or mortgage payment in 40+ other states. Not in California, New York, MA, or Florida.

Dude are you kidding? Most X5M's lease in the $1200-1600 range depending on whether or not there was an initial down payment. There is a HUGE difference in payment. You're trying to compare the payment on a mid-60k vehicle to a nearly 100k vehicle. As for it being cheaper than a new M3, both of my E9X M3's were in the high 60's; my X5 was priced in a similar range. My payment is actually LOWER on the X5 (..at least where my E92 M3 coupe was concerned; my sedan was $799). I'm glad that you paid cash. Good for you!!

My payment is actually LOWER on the X5 (..at least where my E92 M3 coupe was concerned; my sedan was $799....and that was due to a huge over stock and a large subsidization from BMW) and I didn't put ANY money towards cap cost. I'd say that given the circumstances surrounding my negotiation, I got a good deal. They gave me full value for my '11 M3 coupe as well. I'm glad that you paid cash. Good for you!!

P.S. You are simply dreaming if you think that you can lease an X5 for $300-400 a month (..at least not without SIGNIFICANT cap cost reduction). But I digress....

....back to topic.

I'm financing a 2011 5.0 at 1.99. Purchase price was 55,000 even with 10000 down. Payment is 850/month x 5 years. Bought it in June 2012 as a leftover from 2011. So far so good. I'm told these cars have a high residual value so a purchase at this price point seemed a good value to me.

You were told correctly regarding the residual.
