Sanity check
Hello, I am about to pull tthe trigger on a 2011 50i and I need one last thing. Validation from the X5 experts.
The car is very clean 37000 miles, CPO with prepaid maintenance for 2 more years. Active steering, adaptive drive, ventilated seats, sport package, 20in staggered, cold weather and rear climate. Basically everything except M sport package. $39k Is this reasonable? Thanks |

Sounds pretty close to a good deal.

The 2011 X5 model year have about 70 service bulletins on them according to NHTSA. Did you do a PPI? Did you verify service records, other than Carfax? Any repainted panels? Can you share some pics?

But I'm very curious ... what PPI criteria are being used to evaluate your car? The original CPO document check list is fairly comprehensive on mechanical inspections and if/when done right, will yield very useful information. But it says almost nothing on cosmetic or body repair/damage ... Every shop that does PPI varies ... for instance, if you want to measure paint thickness, you need 3 different type of meters to measure the paint on metal, aluminum and thermoplastics (fenders) ... all of which are used on the e70 X5.
