Any feedback from BSW ?
Hey guys
If any of you have done business with BSW ( BMW Soundwerks) please let me have an honest feedback regarding the quality of their products, they say they are plug and play fitment to the OEM speakers, but how about the gain in sound quality, and if they are really plug and play? This info is for a good friend of mine that is closing a deal on a brand new F30 335i , the car comes with a stereo system called HiFi and it seems like sound is not so good.... so he wants to upgrade the sound quality with a set of new speakers without getting into a hard aftermarket modification, he wants to stay on the OEM side.... VIN # WBA3A9108EF491867 just in case thanks in advance |

Are you asking about the X6? I'm confused as you mention the F30 but this is posted in the X6 forum.
I have installed the BSW speaker upgrade in my X6, but you may want to ask your question in the F30 forum to get responses appropriate to that vehicle. |

You are right, I posted this on the F30 forum since the actual project is intended for a F30-335i, but got no response, I just want to know if the $800 speaker upgrade is worth it, maybe you can tell me your experience with your car, did you really noticed a big difference in sound quality? and also your experience dealing with BSW, Im assuming that if they work good on an X6, probably the F30 upgrade will also improve the sound too.

If you want to hear difference, go with Focal or Hertz. If you are really specific about your sound quality and want to stay OEM, replace hi-fi power amplifier with individual M power amplifier. I just did on my X6 and can tell you that's where the real difference in sound quality comes from

One word of caution, the rearmost speakers near the back deck lid are a total bitch to remove and require removal of multiple trim panels and disassembly of the sealed speaker enclosure to even get to them. It's far easier in the X5. |

Replace your factory speakers with Hertz and/or Focal. Replace your two under-front-seat sub-woofers (8") with WSW-8 Earthquake subs. Replace your hi-fi oem amplifier with individual M oem amplifier. You will then appreciate sound in your BMW
