BMW 2010 X5 (E70) Rubber Stabilizer Dislodged
To All,
I have just bought a New 2010 BMW X5 last September 13, 2010. Then just this January 2011 the rubber stabilizer dislodge with no reason why. Upon going home to our subdivision with slow driving, a metal sound was heard. Then upon reaching my house, i check the front driver side for any loose bolts. But nothing has been detected. With this incident I went to Auto Performance BMW Lahug to ask their technician to check. Even a small or hump, a metal to metal sound is heard. In Auto Performance Service Area, they open the hard palstic layer on the buttom of the car then a rubber fell on the floor. With this incident I ask there Service Advisor what causes this rubber stabilizer to dislodge a BRAND New 2010 BMW X5 just 4 months old. And surprisingly they respond "This is the First Time they encounter this type of incident for old and brand new BMW X5". With this incident I presume my Brand New BMW X5 is a LEMON Car. I need everybody suggestion on this incident. And what will I do? I can be reach on my mobile 0929 713 7741. Thanks, Richard Cadungog |

BMW will not consider your car a lemon unless the situation cannot be repaired and/or it happens at least 3 times consistently. All they need to do is fix the issue, and it is covered under warranty. If it continues to happen, then it could be considered a lemon, however you will need to give BMW a change to fix the issue first. Good Luck!!

As mentioned above, while an inconvenience, it's really nothing more than a part that could have failed, been installed incorrectly or something similar.
If they can fix or replace it (which I'm sure they can), you'll be off and on the road just like normal. When it comes to mechanical items, things happen, thus why we have a warranty for these exact reasons...
