Three issues in short succession.
Noticed a pool of liquid under the front right side wheel yesterday. Looked like windshield washer fluid. Topped up fluid, and saw leakage immediately.
Brought it in to dealer today. Washer pump replaced under warranty. 90 minute turnaround. Searched the forum, but see no other posts on this. X5 is a 2008 3.0, 34,000 miles. Hope I am done with issues for the forseeable. This was the third, and all in the last month. Others were 1. May/June Horrible squeaks under both front seats while being adjusted for height and travel. Diagnosis. - plastic trim rubbing. Dealer shaved a hair off the trim and problem solved. 2. Jun. 25 While driving, Nav screen blanked out, instrument cluster info deleted and went to dashes, no time on clock, and radio ceased to operate. All came back after a few minutes. Software error detected. All sorts of coding refs. on the repair report from dealer. Vehicle software reprogrammed. All is fine now. Not sure if weather has been a factor, but it's been over 100f daily for a few weeks now, and nightly lows are only in the mid 80's. X5 temp. gauge has been registering 108/109 regularly in mid afternoon driving. Dealer was excellent throughout. Other than the above, vehicle has been flawless. Mostly highway miles. Averaging just about 22mpg. Last edited by Irish-Texan; 07-16-2011 at 11:10 AM.. |
