Urgent Help!! Possible Fraud by Dealer!

Dear Fellow X6 friends,

Hi! I am a new owner of an X6, with possible-sarcastic emphasis on the word "new". This is what I need your help with! You see, my dealership I think has pulled a fast one on me and I want to investigate further. I had placed an order for a Yr 2011 X6 vehicle, and was delivered one. When I sent it to another dealership for retrofitting of Navigation, I was told that the vehicle is actually a Year 2009!! He took a picture of the engine plate (which is the same as the chassis #) and I am hereby attaching the same to this thread.

The only out-of-the ordinary thing is that it has the new idrive with shortcut buttons. I am sure that must have been retrofitted by the dealership....?
The dealer claims it is an April 2011 manufactured vehicle.
Another thing to note is that it is a 6-Speed and not an 8-Speed.

Is there any way to find out more credible evidence that the VIN and other details on the engine plate match a Year 2009 production? If you guys could help me with this, I can approach the dealership and other authorities if required to convince that this is a fraud.

I would much appreciate your help in this to ensure that I take up the correct course of action and that the same should not happen to others in future.

Get a good attorney and call your local paper. They should be out of business for doing fraud like that.

Do note he is in India...Not saying the attorney is not a good idea, but the local paper may not help much.

According to the pic of ur VIN the vehicle is a 2010, you can tell by the 10th digit in it.
