Talking AR Design Catless DP Install!!!!!

Got my AR catless dp installed yesterday. My X6 has completely transformed, it sounds like a monster and there was an instant gain in power! Im going to take it for a long drive today and have some fun. The only downside to this mod is the noise level! With the catless dp, catless front pipes and the meisterschaft gts exhaust, it is way too loud!! On cold start its so loud that you cant hear the person next to you talking!

Im going to have to quiet it down, its too loud. What would bring the noise level down more? Swapping in the stock xpipe and front pipe or putting the stock exhaust on?

No its not! The activehybrid is a completely different animal when it comes to this stuff. Fitment was good, not great. Mechanic had to alter both heat shields in order to accomodate the o2 sensors and get them to fit properly. Im just happy they fit, unlike the efi logic ones.

There is a big performance increase! 0-100km comes very, very quick. The dp along with the ess tune have brought huge gains in my opinion.

There is however a smell of fuel, not overbearing but I can definitely tell its there.

Nice set-up!
Quick question though.
After installing the catless DPs, did it throw a cell light on?

Let me know please.

I'm not 100% sure since i don't have dp's or a tune, but from what i've read yea it will eventually throw a cel, i think with a tune you can avoid that. I'm hoping to get dp's and a tune in the near future

The N63 engine, even in the Active Hybrid is a 'Hot Vee' design. The turbos are inside the V. Same with S63 engine in the M.

On a regular N63, just lift the plastic engine cover and you will see the turbos.

Is it a DIY weekend project? Do you think I can do it without any problems since it's easily located at the top of the engine without lifting the vehicle?
