Removing TPMS Sensors from stock wheels and moving to winter wheels..
Folks:
How realistic is this? I ordered the M Sport Package on my X5, and i'm also going to get a Winter wheel/tire set from Tire Rack most likely. They can add TPMS to the wheels right at Tire Rack, but I really don't want to splurge another $400 unless I have to. Apparently you can reuse the TPMS that comes on the 19" M Sport Wheels, but not sure if my dealer will even do that during a seasonal wheel swap. Thoughts? Thanks, Nathan

it will cost you about $80 to remove the sensor and anotehr $80 to put it back. why not spend about $200 to get another set and save the headache?

Really. I haven't heard back from my dealer yet, but i'm with you. In two tire changes i'll make up the money for just buying my winters with TPMS. Good Call.
