Well for sure it will be more susceptible for failure because of the mileage but the stage 1 is pretty mild and I just dont see it hurting it much, infact there is an argument to be made that firmer shifts are better for the transmission, less slippage on the friction discs.

Ya its only the F15, not the E70. My year has a unique Transmission control unit nobody has been able to crack. I spoke to both Xhp as well as various manufactures of tunning tools, nobody has a solution =(.

I have and pan and filter already here. Thinking I'll get that done on my x5 after I do all my engine maintenance to it. My indy shop quoted me about the same for the job.
Sure, let me know the last 7 of your VIN and I can post the part numbers, I will warn ya though, the solenoids for the 8HP are very hard to find, they have been backordered multiple times. Took me months to get mine.
Thanks! I'll pm you my vin if that's okay

I DIY’d this last year at 58k miles. FCPEuro sells a great kit and YouTube has great videos. Saved $$$ and did it the right way (all correct torque sequences and values).

Oh boy here we go again with “lifetime” issues - = now this coming from a 25 year ASE master tech - nothing is lifetime product! a manufacturer calls a lifetime product a 100,000 to 150,000 mile product in the eyes of a manufacturer that’s A lifetime so absolutely you should replace all the fluids in your vehicle including the front DIFF the rear DIFF, transfer case , no do not do a flush on BMW transmission / just a filter and fluid change . // oil 10 k (no way) think of a TT X5M - and the heat and friction it generates- 5-7k max I do on oil changes and I ONLY USE LUBROMOLLY / AMSOIL /Royal Purple - and always 2 cans of Ceretec and or MoS2 lubricity additive (yes they work) - as for a fuel injector cleaning or combustion chamber cleaning short of a heavy duty de-carbonization use BG44k - THE BEST! /// good luck .
