Difference between pre 10/10 and post 10/10 for Black 215 wheels

Does anyone know what exactly has changed and why they ask when ordering these wheels?

I am pretty sure BMW started using different tire pressure sensors

Why am I having a hard time finding out exactly the scenario? I'm looking to buy a set of black 215 wheels from a post 10/10 production X6 and mine is a pre 10/10.

Not sure, most tire dealers know of this.
