Navigation DVD Error

Does anyone else have the navigation dvd error???

It start to piss me off when it keep asking me to insert navigation dvd when the disc is inside. I try reinserting the disc and it start working again. Just recently, I had the error again and now it won't read at all.

I had this problem twice. First time they changed the Nav. system. I got the errors again. Now they have reprogrammed it and it is fine now.
I think now the DVD is spinning is spinning all the time and it never had the error anymore, access time is fast too.

I had this also in my previous X6. Dealer gave a new DVD disc to try and this worked for a while then I got the same error message. Eventually they had to replace the head unit and it worked fine after that until I got my new X6.

I have the same problem. The BMW garage in London mentioned that they could not find any fault with it since it was not 'logged' onto the car's memory!! But they adviced to take a photo should it happen again!...which I have..again & again! Will be calling them tomorrow then!

So its not about faulty DVD then...thanks for the info!!
