Where to buy a X6M engine?

hi,

I have an 6 engine X6. I would like to know where i can buy a used engine of X6M so I can replace for my car.

Probably only through a dealership at this point. I doubt there are any in the wrecking yards yet.

Not an expert here, but I think the other issue is getting it to work with your existing ECU.

Wouldn't it be simpler to trade up? It's not just engine alone but suspension for a heavier engine.

Used ? they just came out . Also not likely you will be able to drop an X6M engine into anything other than an X6M.

Expect the engine to cost $20-$30k plus $5-$10k in labor.

A 3 series engine replaced is $10-$20k alone.

Just by an X6M since you would do nothing but lose any warranty you have.

what a stupid desicion!!!??? You'll be also receiving check engine light and spend time under hood. + You gonna loose your warranty!

As others are saying, an engine swap rarely makes financial sense.

It might make more sense to modify your current engine.
