Google Maps stopped working for me
It has been two months since I was able to successfully send a Google maps destination to my X6 (and our 7, 6, and 3). They all stopped working at the exact same time. Numerous calls to BMW assist have not resolved the problem(s). Plus this isn't the first time I've had trouble. Previous problems included the email address being wiped from my BMW Assist registration for the car (gremlins?) and the email being mistyped. Of all the external features that BMW has added to cars recently (twitter, facebook, etc.), I find this one makes the most sense and is extremely helpful.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have our shop foreman looking into this, but so far no luck through his contacts. He keeps getting the run around too. |

try typing your email address with all caps when you're sending the address from google.com/maps page. this worked for me.

I dont think it's case-sensitive
If address cannot be found in NAV, it wont show up |

I had this happen once before. I called the BMW ASSIST line from inside the car using the button on the roof, and they worked on it. They were able to eventually restore the proper function to it.

Could be a combination of that and some glitch.

Remind me, does this work if you just have the standard BMW assist? Or do you need one of the upgraded packages?

The guy who did my PCD was not so good. He indicated otherwise and I have yet to look it up. THANKS!

Make sure you are just entering a destination, not a route. If you have a starting address, the car option is not available. it is not case sensitive.

I had the same issue. When I called BMW assist, I was told that the email address associated with your account must be case sensitive. This works for me.
