offset differences between X5M and X6M?

Is the hub to outside of fender distance the same on an X5M as it is on an X6M, such that a perfect offset would be perfect on either vehicle?

The x6m doesn't have extended rear arches, I would think around 25mm difference between the two.

IIRC, the X5M and X6M use the same exact wheels.

299M or 300M

This is what I was thinking. With all due deference to Gerry's balls, since stock wheels are interchangeable, the hubb to fender distance should be the same right? Can anyone else confirm or discredit this theory?

Should be the same just different vehicles from the rear doors back. Not having the flares on the X6M make a big difference in appearance which would make one think the offsets are different I'm thinking.

I think I read somewhere that the X6 has a wider rear axle. That's why no fender flares.

My BBS SV wheels have the same part numbers for the x5m and x6m. I needed to uses 25mm spacers to bring the wheels out flush with the fenders on my X5m.

You're going for 'hella flush' though. The stock wheels sit further in.

PS - love that color.

22x10.5 et40 up front 22x11.5 et38 in the rear. With 25mm spacers on the back it brings the offset down to 13. Dinan suspension is currently installed, contemplating KWV3's... Keep telling myself "but it's an SUV". I'll probably cave in soon enough! No spacers up front in these pics.

Looking good! Go for the KW's don't even bother with the springs on the M. Can't wait to get some 22's under mine. One more storm and the snow tires can come off...

Ok im going to ask why do people prefer the V3's. Is that version coil that much better that the V1's to where you need that much adjustment. I heard the V3's are overkill adjustment wise if this is just for plain street driving use.
I see so many saying they want V3's on here and just wondering why not the V1's?

As I told you in a different thread, the only coilovers system compatible with the X5 is the v3.

They don't offer a v1 or v2. I wish they would, they would sell so many more if they did. I have a set of v1's on the M5 and and it's a perfect balance for those that want a great ride and a great drop...
