Anyone know how to install these pedals? ***UPDATE***

Thinking about getting these. Anyone know how to install them? Assuming I'd have to remove (current) gas pedal and replace. Anyone have detailed instructions?...maybe with pics?

You can do it yourself. Accelerator pedal is one or two screws with a plug in electrical connection. Brake pedal is a little tricky. Use soap for lubrication and lots of PATIENCE !! It just slips over the metal pedal. You will first remove the old pedals, they do not go over them. Good Luck

Just got done installing these pedals and the M footrest. The gas pedal was a breeze...one screw holds it down....brake pedal was a pain in the ass as it was incredibly difficult to get the rubber pad around the medal brake pedal. And the footrest made my knuckles look like I just beat the $&@% out of a concrete wall. I remove the old footrest completely...using a small straight razor to slowly cut away the glue from the carpet. Gotta say, BMW uses some super adhesive glue. Probably the strongest glue I've ever tried removing. With persistence and determination I was able to remove the footrest in one piece, and very cleanly without any damage to the rug...aside from the glue residue being left on it (doesn't matter since new footrest will cover it). I used heavy duty liquid nails...and alot of it to glue the new footrest. Ive used liquid nails before and I feel it's a strong enough adhesive. I used a 50lb bad of sand to hold down the footrest til the liquid nails dries.

I'm gonna leave the sand on overnight til it dries and will take a final shot tomorrow after all done and dry.

Aftermarket footrests installed with 3mm drillbit and self tappers with no need to remove anything :-)

Different style and different market but effect and function are top notch in my book.

Car now 5 months old and no signs of any of the pedals loosening off, despite having my size 14s (15 US!!) rammed up against them every day :-)
