Auto-folding of side mirrors when locking

Has anybody in the US had their cars programmed to automatically fold their outside mirrors when locking the car? I know this is something that's been done for years on Euro spec cars. I think its a nice option, especially for those of us who do a lot of city driving and garage parking.

I'm investigating with the service department at my dealership.

Please keep us posted. I would be interested in having this option. I know my friends Mercedes always folds in the rearview mirrors when he locks his doors.

Not available. This was discussed on other forums as well.

Some earlier models folded with the remote. It is no longer available. Not sure why.

Bummer this is a very useful option. I do this manually every time I park , makes it easier for folks to get between the cars in the parking lot.

Very true!..but also big mirrors make other people go far from the car...and that is thing that i love...because i hate when someone goes near,almost scratching it!

That is awesome!! I want that now! We will have to find out if they are working on one for the X6.

wonder when BMW will figure out they can sell this stuff or someone else will.

Likely the module we have works already on the X6, we just need a local volunteer for verification.

Those located in the SoCal area that are interested - give me a ring and we'll get this finalized.

Wish I still lived in West LA. DMLGC, maybe once you reschedule your LA trip after you get your X6 fixed you can check these out? Look pretty cool.

I got this option here in the Netherlands it costs about 400 euro.
I took because it's very handy with parking the mirrors turn to you rear wheels so i like it with 21" wheels
