Looking to buy a BMW 2012 X5 35i - Need Help
Hello friends,
I am looking to buy a 2012 BMW X5 35i and noticed the following on the carfax report. Thought I'd post it here and see if the repairs listed here should be a concern and I should walk away from the car or does it seem like these repairs are done and should be ok from here on. The parts of the carfax that worry me are: 1. Fuel tank replaced on 01/2017 2. Fuel filler neck replaced 02/2017 3. Transfer module/computer reprogrammed 03/2017 4. Instrument cluster replaced/repaired also on 03/2017 5. Transfer case removed to complete repairs on 06/2017) Driveshaft replaced also 06/2017 Front driveshaft replaced also 06/2017 Your input and guidance is much appreciated. A more detailed Carfax summary is included below. 01/10/2017 69,415 Vehicle serviced Maintenance inspection completed Fluids checked Battery charged Fuel tank replaced 02/18/2017 70,054 Vehicle serviced Maintenance inspection completed Brake fluid flushed/changed Battery charged Cabin air filter replaced/cleaned Fuel filler neck replaced 03/28/2017 70,364 Vehicle serviced Maintenance inspection completed Battery charged Vehicle washed/detailed Transfer module/computer reprogrammed Instrument cluster replaced/repaired Maintenance reminder reset 04/20/2017 70,723 Vehicle serviced Maintenance inspection completed Battery charged Sunroof switch replaced 06/26/2017 71,915 Vehicle serviced Maintenance inspection completed Battery charged Transfer case removed to complete repairs Driveshaft replaced Front driveshaft replaced |

Totally problem car. Run away.
The repairs on 06/26/2017 shows transmission failure. Who knows how the repairs are and the guy is offloading the car. You can get much better maintained cars. |
