Engine Vent Line Campaign

Have a 2011 X5M. When in service, dealer notified of an Engine Vent Line Campaign #1001920200 - Connecting Line.

Not sure what this repair was about, but was wondering if any other X5M owners have had this performed by their BMW Dealer and if so, notice any difference in truck performance?

More info on recall code, although I did not experience a service engine code:

Bulletin Number: SI-B-11-05-12
BMW: SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT COMES ON. ENGINE BREATHER LINE (CRANKCASE VENTILATION HOSE) FAILED, CAUSING VEHICLE TO RUN ROUGH. THIS IS DUE TO PLASTIC MATERIAL USED FOR CRANKCASE VENTILATION HOSE BECOMES BRITTLE AND BREAK. *PE

Yes,

I had it done. I believe-and Im probably wrong, but the vent line is either too thin, or wears.

No biggie, its free.

Did you notice any loss of power? The truck does not seem as powerful after the repair. Shifts a bit different.

same experience here after the replacement of the breather line. It's not as responsive as before.

Yes I had mine done soon after I bought it. They made a new kit that is "pre bent" and strong to prevent cracking. I didn't notice any difference in performance with the new set up tho.

Thanks. With all the problems getting the powder coated wheels thru this dealership, wondering if they forgot to connect something. Will take to another dealership.

DDP2011X5M, did the other dealership find anything wrong with the work on the recall?

Haven't taken it to another dealer yet, but plan on it shortly.
