Thanks!
Went with AR Design. Catless, black ceramic coated, and slip-on fit. This paired with the PTP turbo blanket should really help get rid of all that harmful heat in the engine bay. For tune upgraded my Velos tune to their new super awesome revised catless tune. It has better mixtures so it cuts down the gas smell some. Every little bit helps. |

Mod update:
While I wait for the major goodies () to show up I decided to finish off my interior. So I purchased a p3cars gauge from turner and the mperformance mats from my dealer. Regarding the mats, they are made for a F85, but fit perfectly fine in the e70. They are also quite an interesting mat. It's rubber, like an all weather mat, but has a faux cf look to it on top not unlike the cf leather trim. The swooping lines are the same color as the silverstone interior so it's a perfect match. Now for the p3cars gauge. Install was super easy as you can see below. Had one in my F30 and knew I would get one for the X5M eventually. I have it plugged in digitally right now. I do plan on switching the boost to analog, just have to determine if I'm going to use the tmap sensor tap or the vacuum tap. Reason I haven't decided is that the air intake temp is not working currently on the gauge. The literature says it takes the reading from the tmap sensors so I'm thinking if I use that tap, then perhaps the air temp will work. I have an email out to p3cars so I will update accordingly when I find out. Packaging and components: The first thing you will want to do is pull out the side panel, pull out the aluminum trim, and unscrew the vent from the dash. Next you are going to get the wiring ready to install. Super easy just remove everything out of the bags lol... We are going to snake the obd2 wire up from the bottom underneath the dash. This allows a cleaner install and it only requires removing three screws: This photo shows where to push the wire through the dash and trim: Wire passed through: The whole purpose is so the chord can hang like this by the obd2 port: Next up time to install the controller: Used some 3m double sided tape to secure the controller up top on the Styrofoam next to the vent: Tucking the ribbon below the oem wiring: Then simply install the new vent and reinstall the trims: Glamor shots with the mperformance mats: On: Off: Passenger mat: As you can see everything is very oem+. There was no install guide available for the e70 so hopefully this helps some of you out. As always feel free to ask questions.

Dude, all you need now is some LED headlights!!!
It's the least you can do after you peer-pressured me into a front spoiler, rear diffuser and Dimisa tips! |

Kimo how do u like the P3 gauge ? I had for few months before i got rid of X5M ...I like the gadget-aspect of it for the price ...however was disappointed the boost didn't work ..I also like the fact it went on the side not like the Awron that took up the center ....BtW every time I visit this thread I'm always amazed at how beautiful your car looks !
