Performance / X6M Front Bumper Info

Hi all

I'd like to helo and advice about the retrofit of a performance or X6M front bumper to a standard 2009 X6 please.

Firstly, is there a difference between the 2 bumpers? If no, will either simply bolt on to the standard X6 with the correct grilles etc and what happens to the fogs, are they just tucked away still plugged in so as to not set off the warning light on the dash?

The bumpers are starting to show up used so I'm thinking about it but not sure about fitment initially and if different bumper supports etc are needed?

Can anyone who has done this give me some feedback please?

Thanks

Carl

Hi. Just had the M performance X6 bumper retrofitted to my X635idrive about 2 weeks ago. Was a direct fit with some accomodations as far as mounting points and fitment by my dealer but otherwise no issues. They had to order the correct grilles and all and get the whole thing painted at a body shop also. Took them about 4-5 days total but I had other work done (upgraded brakes and rotors). So it works just make sure your shop knows what they are doing. PS I also had LED running lights wired into the circuit which my old fogs were in with the original OEM bumper and the car re-coded so it wouldn't throw fault codes when it did not see the fogs after the bumper replacement/upgrade.

Front Bumper looks nice. I may have to look at that after I get the truck.

Front Bumper

Why not consider the AERO FUNCTION II aftermarket bumper? To that, also glue on 5-Led modules on either side which will also act as DTRL.

They look outstanding and aggressive!
