12v constant supply location? - Trunk

Hi members, I have just acquired an 2011 X6 E71 and unlike my old E53 the 12v socket in the back is only on when the engine is running.


Is there a location I can tap into a 12v supply to run aftermarket trunk light and small fridge when need be.

Ps: possibly this has been covered but my searches haven't found anything.

You can tap into a 12v supply from the fuse box in the trunk. The result provides a diagram of the fuse box and the location of the fuses for the 12v sockets. You can use a fuse tap to connect your aftermarket trunk light and small fridge to the fuse that corresponds to the socket you want to use. You can also use a multimeter to check which fuse is hot all the time and which is switched by the ignition.
