Some $19k in repairs later I am enjoying the car and have some comfort in knowing I have 2 years of warranty on the replaced parts.
I'm curious, did you drive it for a bit for it to waste the transmission? I'm surprised that I've seen a few people mention that the transmission had to be replaced. Mine was not replaced but they did add 1 quart of transmission oil.

Does it also cover any part that is damaged by the drive shaft (like transmission when the failure happens while driving on the highway)?

My service adviser told me that anything damaged due the the drive shaft failure would be covered. Mine broke on the freeway and i just needed the drive shaft. Some here have had major damage ie: trans and everything was replaced by BMW.

Go first to the dealer to do an inspection on it. If it needs to be replace they will do it at not cost. Get in mind not all dealers work the same and some will give you some troubles to do it.

That's cheap!

I'm surprised ... is it used?
