Wow, am I reading that right? Value package = leather and ipod at no cost? That's almost 2000$ in savings! I've been trying to decide on whether I should spend an extra 1450 for savana beige or stick with black leatherette. I guess this would make that choice easier.
edit: Haha, NYC6 beat me to it. |

I have the pricing for x5 M 2011 from my dealer, will try to upload
I've never tried to upload a file here before, hope this works!
My question for all the experts here: I drive a 2008 X5 4.8i in the Platinum Bronze Metallic color. I'd like to upgrade to the M, but I am not happy with any of the color choices for 2011 which are the same as for 2010 X5 M (2 black, one white, one red, space gray, silverstone, and monte carlo blue). I'd buy an X5M in a second if I could have it in the Platinum Bronze metallic. Is there any way to get an X5 M painted from the factory in a regular X5 (non M) color such as Platinum Bronze? I know I could have a body shop repaint my car the color I want, but my perception is that this kills resale value and as I like to upgrade fairly often I really don't want to do that. |

You might need a special approval and a 5K charge for it. But it is doable. More so, I have seen people getting M colors on Reg cars but vice a versa is unusual. But platinum Bronze is a very nice color though. I saw one MonteCarlo M from the back, and thought X5 M looked great in that color though. |

Thanks for the helpful reply, Zibawal. I am happy to hear this can be done. Will dealers know how to do this?
I like the Monte Carlo blue color a lot. If I lived in the city, I could easily see myself buying that, although if I lived in the city I'd be driving an M3 so it would be Interlagos Blue. I live on a dirt road, I drive through 2 herds of cattle to get to the pavement. At any given moment I have in excess of 100 pounds of cow $hit clinging to the underbody (mostly) of my X5, and the rest of the car is covered in dust and dirt. Keeping clean is not in any way possible. I own a blue truck and it looks much worse most of the time than my X5 does because for the most part the Platinum Bronze color matches the color of the prevailing dust and dirt, so the primary effect of the dust and dirt is to dull the metallic shine. If I had to go with one of the X5 M colors I'd probably do the Silverstone or the Space Gray, but neither will look as good as the Platinum Bronze. Also, there is a lot to be said for keeping the same color when I upgrade to the M as perhaps most of my friends and neighbors will not notice that I bought ANOTHER new BMW! ;-) |

and of course how would neighbour know that u have a new X5 LOL. I am in same dilemma! I use to drive 07 335i Montego Blue, loved it. Now thinking of 335iS that is limited color production, Blue is Le Mans, but not as pleasing to my eyes as Montego, but kinda look the same. Next is Silver, White, Black, Space gray( u want to throw up see that car when dirty with mud lol) crimson red. I am so much frustrated at this point, what to do. I like vermilion red but that is only 335i coupe color and to get it on 335iS , $5K more, might as well buy my self a M3 lol |

Anyone sure X5M can be factory painted non-M color?
I was stoked by the helpful answer from Zibawal suggesting that I could order a 2011 X5 M in a non-M factory color (Platinum Bronze). However, just got email from the salesman who sold me my 2008 X5 stating: "I got a reply from Distribution this morning. They cannot or will not do special order paint colors at the Spartanburg plant."
I am still waiting for a reply from another salesman who said he thought it COULD be done. Does anyone have certain knowledge of an X series vehicle made in Spartanburg being painted a custom color? Or any other helpful tips on how to try and get what I want here? |

anyone with a pdf for the x5 pricing for MY2011???
Also, my guess is there's no ED for the X5 and X6 since they're built in SC? Last edited by gimmes name; 04-28-2010 at 11:54 AM.. |
