So I picked up another BMW!!

So happy with my recent purchase of this great e36 M3. It has 126k on the clock, all original except for the roll bar and removed rear seats. The owner before me installed the bar so he could autocross it. I bought it just for a fun convertible to have around for nice days. I feel that prices are now at rock bottom for these cars and will hopefully make some money on it in 5-10 years. In the meantime I have some work to get it up to snuff as far as the paint work and whatnot. Best part is it qualifies for classic car insurance through Hagerty as a "future classic." It is a ball to drive, very similar to my 128i but a much softer ride. I know these are not as raw as the Euro version, but it definitely has character and is easy to know where the limit is. Hope you like it!!

In NC we have to wait 35 years to get antique plates and collector car insurance. At least we don't have the front license plate.

My GOD, where has time gone by? I remember when these came out in 1998 I had a poster in my room "Heaven above you, Earth beneath you. The all new M3 Convertible". Almost pushing 40, stay young lol.

Looks good!

Wow!

WOW! What an awesome find. A convertible E36 M3 has been my dream car ever since I was a child. Looks so sharp. If you do not mind me asking, how much did you pay to recieve this beauty?

It has some front end damage, just the bumper and the piece above it need to be replaced. That in mind I paid $3750.

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread to show the progress with the ///M3. Replaced the bumper cover, kidney holder, headlights, fog lights, and turn signal lens'. I am amazed at how this car turns heads in this day and age. A few before and ofter shots, along with a shot of the 1er (still with her winter wheel and suspension setup)

Welcome to the club. I was lucky to find an immaculate '97 with only 82k miles on her. I'm having so much fun driving mine. So much so that my e92 is a garage queen now! It's hard to describe how much better it handles without driving it. Enjoy.
