Would you buy this X6? Need your advice ASAP

I'm about to pull a trigger on a 2012 X6 50i with 54,039 miles this weekend but after reviewing the carfax report, this vehicle has been in the shop at least 12 times and out of those 12 times, at least 4 of them are related to tire and mounting issues.

Please see the carfax report below for reference.

The vehicle is selling for close to $42K but I'm sure I can get it down under $40 but my question is, would you buy this vehicle that has been in the shop for more than 12 times?

I need your advice soon! I have made an arrangement this weekend to make the decision.

Is it certified or just the 4 year 50?

personally, I think the deal is mediocre with that carfax. BMW.com has certified 50is in the 40s with lower miles and a longer warranty - probably able to negotiate any of these an additional 3-5%

Thank you for your feedback.

No it is not certified. Just 4 years at 50k miles...
The reason I'm looking into this vehicle is that I'm looking for very specific model. Interior trimming, wheels... I know I can get aftermarket ones later but I would rather just purchase a vehicle that is specific to my needs.

I'm going to have the vehicle pre-sale inspection at a local BMW dealer to make sure everything is okay. We shall see from there... If everything goes well, I will say good bye to my 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid and hello to my X6 lol.

If you have any other inputs, please share.

did you go through the options on the bmw site? It is immensely detailed. I wanted a specific color with the m performance package and lighting package and you can toggle easily.

Good luck

$42K is very close to what you can buy X6M for. I would go for the X6M over the standard X6 5.0 even if the X6M will cost you little more. It is well worth the additional investment. I have had both and can assure you of that.

If it's only under 4yr 50k original warranty, your warranty is already up as it has over 50k miles

I was actually looking into X6M for a while but this vehicle is my DD and I drive a lot of mileage for work... I would really think about getting X6M if it wasn't for my work.

I appreciate your two cent though.

Yup. Original 4YR/50K warranty is up however, I did call the BMW dealer that completed all the maintenance on that vehicle told me that when it was to a new dealer, it was a CPO vehicle which gave me a little bit more of confidence.
