Wheel Combo Ideas for X5
Hi All,
My X5d is just about to land, and I went wheel/tire shopping yesterday only to find out that BMW has sued most wheel distributors out of existence, or at least out of selling wheels that will fit onto BMWs. I was aghast when I learned of this, and now am trying to figure out where the heck to get a good set of rims. Anyone have any advice on this? Also, does anyone know of a good place to get parts? I get 10% off list price at my local dealership, currently, which is ok. But, my other ride is a 911 and I have a parts dealer from Oregon who beats the heck out of any other prices I've seen anywhere, I'm just wondering if someone has a source like this for BMW parts. I figured if anyone knows it's someone here. Thanks! Can't wait for the X5! |

What type of wheels are you looking for? and size 20, 22's? Just depends on what look you want to go with, and how much you want to spend.
There are numerous places to get parts if you give me some idea on what your looking todo i.e. blackout kidney grills I can shoot you some links...

We've been looking at a set of Beyern Mesh wheels for when spring time roles around. Just can't decide between 20's and 22's.
I think the 22's will look better from an aesthetic point of view. But I'm seriously concerned with the decrease in ride quality with a lower profile tire. |

Still have your 217 and doppel!!?!! Nice ride man on the x5, there are some qulaity wheels out there. Main issue is how much u want to spend - anyways there are some nice OEM 21" wheels which you should consider 215, 239 in particular. If you want to go aftermarket, HRE hands down! _Tom ps 339 shopping yet? |
