2012 X6 50i Price Point
Has anyone purchased a 2012 X6 50i in CA via cash? Trying to pull an offer from a few Northern California dealers, but they are saying price needs to be close to MSRP due to allocation...sounds like BS. What's reasonable over invoice/below MSRP?
Thanks with any info. |

Supply and demand is the name of the game. You need to find a dealer (shop it to 5 or 6 dealers) and find one who has one on order and willing to confirm a sale. I shopped 3 dealers till i found one who was willing to lock my 2012 X6 50i order in at $500 over invoice. Depending on that dealers allocation and sold units, you might have to wait up to 8 weeks. Cash sale wont matter. Just find a respectible dealer who will do $500 over. My NH dealer will do it for you. Good luck.

Thanks for the input. I've gotten pretty close late this afternoon and am closing in on $500 over. Huge difference in dealerships willing to negotiate so shopping several places is key. I should be in the que next week!

What is the average mark up on a new X6. I just the dealership to take $3000 off the MSRP. I did tell a few other dealerships that I wanted to pay cash and they really didn't want to deal with it unless it was for full pop. The dealership is like the IRS they want to squeeze every last cent out of you they can. I also took the invoice that they sent me and made them deduct all of their bullshit items. Like paint protection and the rest of that stuff. I built the vehicle on BMW's website and I took $3000 off of what it said and I stood my ground on the price. Good Luck.

A quick way is .94 * MSRP, but here is a calculator that you can use:
http://autos.aol.com/cars-BMW-X6-2012/options/ Add MACO (it was $350 for me) and $875 destination and you'll be pretty close for invoice. |
