Uhmm, (almost) all systems rely on "an external DNS server".
Eh. Never mind. Pay no attention to that geek behind the curtain.
When I say external, I mean a DNS server outside of the local network such as Dyn. Only an idiot would setup a system to use an external (read DNS server on the Internet) to do name resolution for systems on a local network.
