Winter Setup
Hey guys,
I drive a 2010 x5m, I have 22 inch adv 1 wheels on it in the summer, and now as I am approaching winter I am contemplating 3 options and could use some advice. Option 1: Purchase the bmw recommended winter setup... which does not look very good especially with the m flared fenders. Option 2: Try and purchase some winter tires to wrap my factory m wheels in Option 3: Purchase these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20-IN...#ht_3179wt_941 off ebay, wrap them in 20 inch snows. I think the wheels are not as wide in the rear as the m wheels so it should be easier to get a winter setup. Please let me know your thoughts guys... I also dont want the salt and bad conditions to chip the fenders, I would appreciate any input. Thanks |

Seeing you are in Niagara Falls you get a ton of snow in the winter!
Option 1 is what I have on my X6M and it works well and I think it looks pretty good (they are a bit of a gunmetal colour). Option 2 is a terrible idea! you will ruin those rims, might as well sell them if you are using 22s for the summer. Option 3 Not bad, you will pick up a set of winter tires and save yourself a cool $1500 from the BMW set. |
