Does the X5M/X6M have REAL/ACTUAL tire pressure monitoring?
What system does BMW use to sense tire pressure? I heard that some use the rotational method that does not really sense pressure. These systems take way too much time to react to a medium kind of leak. They typically are not a good way of doing it.
Some have actual sensors in the tires that transmit the pressure to the car. Does anyone know what system they use and can you readout actual pressure? Thanks |

Depending on your model and production, you may have either FTM (flat tire measurement) or TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System). If you go into idrive menu for info sources you will see which one you have.
You could also check your valve stems. If they are metal then you have TPMS, if they are rubber then you don't. |
